With a bold voice rooted in lived experience, \u003cstrong\u003eAFLO.\u003c\/strong\u003e uses poetry as a tool for resistance, healing, and radical honesty. \u003cstrong\u003eAFLO.\u003c\/strong\u003e is the host of Brighton Dome’s STATUS FLO, lead on the Brighton branch of Apples \u0026amp; Snakes' 'Poet in Your City' Programme, and was awarded the Brighton Girl Creative of the Year Award in 2025. He is a proud northwest Londoner and Barbican Young Poet alumnus. He won the Roundhouse Poetry Slam in 2019 and is happiest when watching \u003cem\u003eMean Girls\u003c\/em\u003e or \u003cem\u003eCarlito’s Way\u003c\/em\u003e. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHe was shortlisted for Young People’s Laureate for London and the Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship in 2019. His work concerns nostalgia, grief, surrealism and hood life circa 2005 – present day. Her research examines the wider implications of feminist poetics, exploring how poetry gives voice to unclaimed spaces, uncovers overlooked voices and produces alternative narratives. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"zm-highlight-text_disabled\"\u003eManjot\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e has run poetry programming for the past four years.
